I have been practicing natural medicine since 1995 and use acupuncture, massage, Chinese herbs, exercise, diet and lifestyle advice to create a holistic framework for health rejuvenation and maintenance.

Traditional Chinese Medicine looks at the whole picture so underlying causes can be addressed and longer-term results are more likely to be achieved.

We all have times when we are not running at full capacity and may need some help to get back on track. The difficulty for many people is acknowledging this in the first place and then taking steps to deal with it.  I enjoy helping my clients with that process.

To address the condition effectively, periods of extended treatment may be necessary.  It is important to be patient as the condition may have occurred or existed over a long period of time.  Consequently, more than just one treatment might be needed.

Michael Finn

Bachelor Of Acupuncture, Grad Dip Chinese Herbs,Michael Finn
Post Grad Dip. Clinical Nutrition.
Member Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA)

My practice in natural healing spans more than 25 years. Modalities include: acupuncture and Chinese herbs, massage, nutrition and lifestyle advice.

My goal is to alleviate pain, tension and discomforts in the short term, whilst treating and directing my patients towards gaining and sustaining optimal health and fitness in the long term.

Chronic symptoms and disease states require an initial period of concentrated treatments, to ‘turn the tide’ as it were. Then one’s progress is ensured by maintenance treatments. This way we maintain vigilance over the ageing process, emotional and mental overload, recreational habits and all types of stress in daily life.

My specialties include:

•    stress-induced illness
•    depression and anxiety
•    digestive disorders
•    painful conditions (e.g., headaches, muscular
      tensions, PMS, etc.)

Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture)
Certificate IV Kinesiology
Certificate in Counselling Kinesiology
Associate Degree in Arts (Dance)

Member: ATMS, AIK, AACMA

I’m a kinesiologist and acupuncturist that combines the best of both eastern and western knowledge and techniques in treatment. Kinesiology allows me to tailor the acupuncture, acupressure, massage, energetic, nutritional and herbal therapies I use to create a treatment that specifically meets a client’s individual health needs.

As a former professional dancer, I’ve held a passionate interest in the mind-body connection for many years. I bring a lifetime of study in this area to my work with clients, encouraging them to explore and understand how a multitude of factors both internally and externally, can have an impact on their sense of well-being.

I enjoy working with everyone from athletes with injuries and an intense training schedule, to mothers just trying to find a sense of balance in life. I hold a blue-card for working with children, and gentle kinesiology techniques combined with nutritional testing have proven extremely effective in assisting to manage kids health issues.

About Kinesiology

Through muscle testing Kinesiology assesses how stress is affecting the body. This stress can stem from a multitude of factors:

  • Muscular imbalances
  • Dysfunctional tissue repair after injury
  • Nutritional deficiencies and excesses
  • Unresolved emotional issues
  • Interference with brain integration
  • Blockages in energy lines -meridians and energy centres - chakras
  • Disconnection from one’s spirit

Muscles will unlock in relation to the source of stress and when that stress is identified and cleared, using a variety of techniques, the muscle’s integrity returns to normal.

Treatment techniques can include acupressure, neuro-lymphatic and neuro-vascular points, massage, emotional clearances, visual imagery, brain-integration exercises, nutritional corrections, herbal prescriptions and lifestyle change such as exercise and relaxation.

Various energy lines or meridians run through or in the vicinity of different muscle groups. These meridians flow internally to our various organ systems. For this reason muscle testing can give a visual and kinaesthetic read-out of the energetic function of our internal organs. It is through this interface that kinesiology methodology is closely linked with Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and why it combines so well with acupuncture as a method of treatment.

Private health fund rebates available for both kinesiology and acupuncture.
